Project Remaps was recently called out to a 2017 Land Rover Discovery 2.0 diesel, 180 bhp, with an AdBlue countdown that was close to reaching its limit. The vehicle also had an engine management warning light illuminated, requiring diagnostic investigation to identify the faults recorded in the system.
The main concern was the Discovery’s AdBlue countdown, which had almost reached its limit. With the warning still active, the customer needed the issue investigated. We began with diagnostic checks to establish which faults were present on this particular vehicle.
Our diagnostic checks identified five diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs):
On this vehicle, these codes were associated with the AdBlue system. Together with the active countdown and engine management light, they formed the basis of our investigation.
Fault codes need to be considered alongside the vehicle’s symptoms. A stored code alone should not be treated as confirmation that a particular component needs replacing.
Following diagnosis, we proceeded with our full AdBlue software removal on the 2017 Land Rover Discovery.
Once the work was complete, the engine management light was cleared and the AdBlue countdown was removed. The vehicle was left in good running condition.
For this Discovery, the immediate warning light and countdown concerns were resolved following the work carried out by Project Remaps.
If your Land Rover Discovery is displaying an AdBlue warning, an engine management light or a countdown message, accurate diagnosis is the starting point.
